Olive's so sweet and lovable!  She's a little shy of strangers at first, but
quickly warms up.  She's a gorgeous dark tri, with lots of ticking and an
extremely soft coat.  She is double registered with AKC and CKC !

On February 8 of 2007, my beloved Sadie passed away.  She was my very first basset
hound, and the reason that I fell so deeply in love with the breed.  She only had 2
litters during her lifetime, but she loved babies so much that she would nurse any
abandoned puppy or kitten.  If puppies were ever around, she would instantly start
giving milk.

Sadie was one of a kind, and will be dearly missed.
My kids have nick-named this girl, Bug.  She is full of life, and
loves to be the center of attention.  She's never met a stranger!
Bug is AKC registered, with 58 champions in her pedigree!
This is my 10 year old son's baby, Paula.  She was born here, to Clifford and
Eve.  She's currently a year old, and will be a future mom for us.  Paula is
triple registered with AKC, CKC and NKC, with 58 champions in her pedigree!
The size of our basset hounds are within the AKC breed standard.
At maturity, the male basset usually weighs between 55 and 60 pounds, and stands 12, to not more than 15
inches tall at the shoulder.  The female is usually about 10 pounds lighter and 1 inch or so shorter than the male.
If you are looking for a larger basset hound, please consult your veterinarian before making your decision.
Basset Hounds that weigh over 60 pounds, are more likely to have joint problems, back injuries,
arthritis, etc......conditions resulting from short little legs, being made to carry a massive weight.
