Photos:

I love browsing the web and looking at other breeders' websites, but I hate it when there aren't many
photos!  I feel that in order to get an idea of what a puppy will look like in the future, you must see
several photos of each parent, and their
previous puppies.  So I have made sure to devote an
individual page to each of our hounds.  Please take the time to get to know our hounds and read all of
the details before purchasing a puppy.

About Us:

At Appalachian Basset Hounds, we have offered exceptional American Basset puppies to loving,
responsible pet homes since the 90s. We strive to produce extremely healthy puppies with excellent
temperaments that will make a loving addition to your family. Our objective as responsible breeders is to
produce healthy puppies within the AKC breed standard. We focus on keeping our Bassets within
American bloodlines and if we do add any European blood, we keep it at a minimum. If you are looking
for an extra large Basset, you are looking in the wrong place.  We want to produce Bassets within the
standard 35-55 pound range. We do genetic DNA testing on our Bassets for hereditary diseases.
Our Puppy Policy:

Before you take your puppy home, it will have:

Veterinary Examination
Vaccines Up To Date
Dewormed every 2 weeks
Treated with Frontline Plus (if it's flea weather)
Given Heartworm Preventative (if mosquitoes are flying)
Fed top quality food

When picking up your puppy, you will be given the following:

Health Guarantee Contract
Health/Vaccination Records
Registration Application (if available for said puppy)
Puppy Care Manual
Puppy Food Sample
Puppy Kit
and of course, your puppy!
